1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using StableStop ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use constitutes acceptance of any changes.
2. Definitions
- "Host" — a user who lists stabling facilities on the Platform.
- "Rider" — a user who searches for and books stabling via the Platform.
- "Booking" — a confirmed reservation for temporary stabling between a Rider and Host.
- "Platform Fee" — the 10% service charge applied to each booking.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into contracts in the United Kingdom to use the Platform. By creating an account, you represent that all information provided is accurate and complete.
4. Account Responsibilities
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use. StableStop is not liable for losses arising from unauthorised account access.
5. Bookings & Payments
All payments are processed securely via Stripe. A 25% deposit is taken when a booking is confirmed, with the remaining balance due before check-in. StableStop charges a 10% platform fee on the total booking amount. Hosts receive payouts via Stripe Connect after deduction of the platform fee.

6. Host Obligations
Hosts must ensure their listings are accurate and up to date. All stabling facilities must meet minimum safety standards and comply with relevant UK legislation including animal welfare regulations. Hosts must comply with StableStop's biosecurity guidelines.
7. Rider Obligations
Riders must ensure their horse's vaccinations and passport are up to date. Riders are responsible for any damage caused by their horse during a stay and must follow the host's yard rules and StableStop's biosecurity guidelines.
8. Limitation of Liability
StableStop acts as a marketplace connecting Hosts and Riders. We do not own, manage, or inspect stabling facilities. To the fullest extent permitted by law, StableStop shall not be liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from bookings made through the Platform.

9. Intellectual Property
All content, trademarks, and intellectual property on the Platform belong to StableStop or its licensors. Users retain ownership of content they upload (photos, descriptions) but grant StableStop a non-exclusive licence to display it on the Platform.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if you breach these terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting support. Upon termination, any outstanding bookings will be handled in accordance with our cancellation policy.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
